The option should be already checked under SQL Server 2005 but just in case you can find it under the Server Objects/Linked Server/Providers/ADsDSOObject properties. The "ADsDSOObject" is the provider for accessing Active Directory.

Thank you for your article. I need to do exactly this, but in SQL 2005 flavor. I didn't think this would prove problematic, but when adding the linked server, I do not see an option "Allow InProcess". Would you happen to know what the equivalent of that option is in SQL 2005? TY! -s.
